We're currently seeing a problem within out test environment in which after running a full backup our log files aren't being truncated. This issue occurs whether we're running Netbackup or Windows native backup utility.

This issue only occurs when the servers are in a DAG configuration.

The only way that we can get the log files to truncate is by manually restarting the exchange server (which in our case is not an option).

From what I'm seeing in various forums this appears to be a common issue, however Microsoft doesn't seem to have acknowledged it yet, and there doesn't appear to be any fix available yet.

We've already opened a ticket with Microsoft and they don't appear to be able to fix it.

Anyone else encountered this problem?
