how do I remove the word "Category" which shows up in front of every category name in my contacts folder, after I imported into new laptop with Outlook 2010

I cannot open the contact file in outlook 2000. Get error message "errors in file .... run inbox repair tool". Ran inbox repair and at 68% of phase 1 error message directed to run scandisk tool. Ran scandisk / checkdisk, re-ran inbox repair and still failed at 68% of phase 1. outlook.pst is >2g (<500kb). Have contacts intact on PDA but cannot hotsync back into outlook ..... help .

I imported 2500 old contacts and created about 90% duplicates.
