Same problem here. Outlook 2007 shuts down repeatedly without warning, without an error message. No dectectable pattern, sometimes when typing a message... sometimes when its running in background & I'm working in another program. Have run Office diagnostics several times with no improvement. Started about a month ago. No significant changes to computer other than updates from Microsoft.

I am trying out Outlook 2010 as a possible replacement for my present

By the way, Franklin Covey "support" doesn't even support PPO 5 any more and was unable to help me fix this with PPO 7.

My junk email folder is blocked, how do I unblock it? Nothing goes into the

A colleague has Office 2002 on her Dell PC running XP Pro with all the
updates. When she exits Outlook, a small box outline remains on the
desktop, which she can neither access nor close, and if she tries to shut

There's a screen print of the "ghost" box here:

I found a work around to the zoom for incoming messages. File -> Options -> Trust Center ->Trust Center Settings -> Email Security -> "read all standard mail in plain text" -> OK
Then Mail -> Stationary and Fonts -> click the last "font" (under "composing and reading plain text messages") Select the font size and style that you want.

No idea what it could be, but I'm getting a similar problem. Running XP with 2000 premium and Outlook starts to open, then just shuts down - no hanging, no error message, nothing. I'm wondering if it has something to do with one of the recent automatic updates... but I'm no techie so just guessing based on the fact it was running fine until a couple of weeks ago.

Good suggestion Russ. That has worked for me in the past as well. Deleting the nk2 file has worked in most cases too. (some instructions say rename it but I always delete it because it recreates itself when you open outlook again). Also check your settings in tools >>options and advanced settings under mail to see if the autocomplete feature is selected.
