this happened last time I ran microsoft updates and somehow when I called microsoft they wanted to charge me $49.99 to solve the problem. For whatever reason I told them I did a recent update so they waived the fee. When they looked at my computer remotely it majically got fixed by itself. Once again I ran updates a few days ago and now my outlook smtp and pop setting window keeps popping up

I have a customized stationary template add-in which works fine until I try

The first email account I setup was an Exchange account - No problem(cached

Now, I am trying to setup a POP account and want to deliver the messages to

Do I have to create a PST for that POP or is there an option I haven't seen?

What has everyone done for the install? We do NOT want to enforce this with

It's a side effect of installing Office 2007 - see

Since MS Security Essentials was NOT able to prevent me about the virus Pushbot.gen!C (it has accused its presence, but did not remove it), I don´t get to start Outlook 2007.
The message it shows is "Outlook was not able to open extend.dat file". The next message is "you don´t have the permission to open the C:\users\xxx\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook\Outlook.pst".
