Without all the details, it could be that your Outlook is trying to send the mail in and Exchange format rather than the more generic internet mail (SMTP). I'm working under the assumption that this is not in a corporate environment that is running an Exchange server. If this is the case, then your mail settings, in the control panel should not have an Exchange server configured.

Is there a setting within Group Policy to force certain outlook settings for users? There is a problem with some employees changing their default Send/Receive time to check every 1 minute, and it is causing too much network traffic. I wanted to force this option to a higher value for all workstations without having to go around to each one (70+) Thanks.

If you're not sure, look at the second line of Help | About Microsoft Outlook -- it should say "Internet Mail Only" or "Corporate/Workgroup". Hi, These are the steps I did: 1. I created a COM-wrapper for my Outlook.tlb for Outlook10 in VS.NET IDE. 2. I used tlbimp to sign the wrapper with a strong name (this was because I was getting an error which said there was no strong name in the assembly) 3. I used ildasm to create the intermediate language file. 4. I changed all the "private" sinkhelper qualifier to "public" 5.
