Is Outlook the lamest software ever made?? I did a search on my Calendar in
Outlook 03 and it filtered the calendar for the results. I closed Outlook
without first clicking Clear. Now, going back into Outlook, it says "(Filter
Applied)" at the top; but the Clear button is grayed out. So I can't remove
the filter! And there's no "Remove Filter" option on the menus. So it's so

Is there a way to expand all contact groups when sending an e-mail?
For example, I want to mail the group Engineers. Inside Engineers,
there may be 5 people, and 2 groups - say software and hardware. And
inside software there may be another few groups, and a few more
people. And in those groups, more groups and more people.
Hello
I'm using Outlook 2007. I have recently gone over to receiving my emails via
IMAP. I have several accounts so effectively I have have several Inbox's. Is
there a way as for instance in Mac Mail to see the sum of these inboxes in a

Thanks a lot

Folks,
We have multiple large distribution lists of contacts with external email addresses.
When sending email to 2 or more DL's it is highly likely that quite a few contacts belong to several DL's, and of course they receive multiple copies of the same message depending on how many DL memberships they belong to.
Is it possible for Outlook to programmatically detect this situation
I would like to use Outlook 2010 as a RSS reader.
Now I'm using Mozilla Thunderbird. The feature that I miss in Outlook is
the automatic complete viewing of the RSS articles. On Thunderbird I can
click on the title of a RSS feed to obtain on the reading window a
complete view of the article. In Outlook this is possible only after a
second click on the HTML link of the article, so that
I set up my normal.email.dotm file to have 12 pts below each

That works just fine with new emails. However, when I reply to an
email, even an html email, the formatting is not applied. I can fix
this by choosing Format Text and

After I used the Clean Up Conversations control for the first time, which
worked, the control has remained greyed out and I am unable to use the
function. I have two e-mail accounts in Outlook - one is a BTInternet.com
account and for which I use POP3. The other is a Windows Live e-mail which
says it is MAPI but works in the same way, ie. I download all messages and

I'd like to understand how Outlook 2010 Rules have improved over
v2003.
Several years ago I found limitations in Outlook 2003 Rules. Outlook
would behave weirdly and crash if there were too many rules. It also
doesn't deal well with rules for non-standard headers. My solution
was to create a series of VBA scripts that processed inbound emails
against an external file of rules. Each
I use Outlook 2003 and synch it to my HTC Tilt 2. I use the Tilt as a
phone, calendar, Tasks list (which is very important for me), Notes,
Contacts list, camera on occasion, but not for anything Web or Wi-Fi
or e-mail.
Old calendar entries are missing from Outlook. For example, I went on
a cruise for a wedding last November, had it in Outlook, but it no
longer shows in there. Neither
I created a PST file "Personal Folder2006-2009" so that I can drag
into it old mail, calendar items, and journal items. Within that PST
file, I created three folders (one for each of the three classes of
items). When I dragged the mail and calendar items into that PST
file, I had no problem. When I dragged my journal items into that
file, I got the error message

Does anyone know of an alternate search program that searches the Outlook

Can anyone tell me how to prevent Outlook 2007 from dialing the area

TIA for any assistance.

Does anyone know of a solution to this problem?

Simply, is there ANY way to reply to a "plain text" email message in Outlook
2007 in HTML format? I've researched this popular question vastly, and the
Microsoft geniuses always reply with the same mantra: "if the person sends
in plain text, then you should reply as such." Grrrrr.... But the question
still remains: how to reply in HTM, if possible. Any advice would be
appreciated.
I'm running Microsoft Outlook for Mac 2011 version 14.1.0 at work.
I have some notifications set up in my calendar to remind me to do
certain things at specific times of the day. They're really cluttering
up my calendar, but I can't find a way of getting an alert to remind me
to do these things at the right time without having them show in my
calendar. I looked into Tasks, but they

There are two inboxes, etc... for two accounts. I want to delete one

to delete into the proper ones, but is it possible to totally delete
the unwanted account?

Originally I had installed Win XP and Office 2003 on my computer. Recently I
bought Vista and re-installed my Office 2300. Everything has been running
correctly since.
A few days ago however I had some trouble with Outlook and ran scanpst.exe
successfully. Today, when I discussed some technical problems with a friend
of mine, to my great surprise I cannot find scanpst.exe any more.
I use Outlook 2003 and was wondering if there is a better way to set

are all at the same mailing address which I use when I send a

Hi,
Work has recently upgraded me from Outlook 2003 to 2010 (to my chagrin).
I make great use of the coloured categories (red, yellow, purple, etc.). In
2003, a coloured e-mail would have a large coloured flag on the right in the
inbox. Now there's only a very small coloured rectangle. They are easy to
miss.
Is there a simple way I can make the colours more visible, like in 2003

It costs 1h to find out how to remove add-in in Microsoft Outlook.
Microsoft is terrible, they don't take care of useability.
No big deal, but when I delete an email in Outlook 2010 the header pane
clears, but the message remains visible until I change folder.
Fault or not?

Hello all.

- in the old 2003 version, in the status (bottom of the window) there was
the total number of found items: now it's missing :( can I reactivate it?

Something crashed. I have since reinstalled outlook (office 97) and,
while it works, it no longer can find emails as I type them into "To"
and automatically finish them.
My guess is that there is a file where this data is stored that is
corrupt and, even though I reinstalled the program, this was not
overwritten. (This would be how one can update and not lose one's
existing addresses.)
I am using Outlook Express v6 in XP SP3..

Just save the mailboxes?
What is the easiest but dependable way (for my buddy who doesn't

Or, do a print screen. A lot simpler. :)

I would do a print screen, personally.
This may seem like a trivial issue but I use the journal in Calendar view, create items and stretch them out (similar to the calendar functionality) to record time. Whenever I create items in the 2010 journal, switch to say the inbox and back, I lose the ability to stretch the items out. Is this a bug?

Hi, I have a large number of emails etc now and I am having to wait
