Is Outlook the lamest software ever made?? I did a search on my Calendar in Outlook 03 and it filtered the calendar for the results. I closed Outlook without first clicking Clear. Now, going back into Outlook, it says "(Filter Applied)" at the top; but the Clear button is grayed out. So I can't remove the filter! And there's no "Remove Filter" option on the menus. So it's so confused,

Running Outlook 2010, but have 2007 and 2003 available. Is there a way to expand all contact groups when sending an e-mail? For example, I want to mail the group Engineers. Inside Engineers, there may be 5 people, and 2 groups - say software and hardware. And inside software there may be another few groups, and a few more people. And in those groups, more groups and more people.

Folks, We have multiple large distribution lists of contacts with external email addresses. When sending email to 2 or more DL's it is highly likely that quite a few contacts belong to several DL's, and of course they receive multiple copies of the same message depending on how many DL memberships they belong to. Is it possible for Outlook to programmatically detect this situation

I would like to use Outlook 2010 as a RSS reader. Now I'm using Mozilla Thunderbird. The feature that I miss in Outlook is the automatic complete viewing of the RSS articles. In Outlook this is possible only after a second click on the HTML link of the article, so that

I set up my normal.email.dotm file to have 12 pts below each paragraph, which helps formatting issues when sending emails to people using gmail and other programs that interpret paragraph breaks differently than Outlook. That works just fine with new emails. However, when I reply to an email, even an html email, the formatting is not applied. I can fix this by choosing Format Text and

I'd like to understand how Outlook 2010 Rules have improved over v2003. Several years ago I found limitations in Outlook 2003 Rules. Outlook would behave weirdly and crash if there were too many rules. It also doesn't deal well with rules for non-standard headers. My solution was to create a series of VBA scripts that processed inbound emails against an external file of rules. Each

I use Outlook 2003 and synch it to my HTC Tilt 2. I use the Tilt as a phone, calendar, Tasks list (which is very important for me), Notes, Contacts list, camera on occasion, but not for anything Web or Wi-Fi or e-mail. Simply, is there ANY way to reply to a "plain text" email message in Outlook 2007 in HTML format? I've researched this popular question vastly, and the Microsoft geniuses always reply with the same mantra: "if the person sends in plain text, then you should reply as such." Grrrrr.... But the question still remains: how to reply in HTM, if possible. Any advice would be appreciated.

Something crashed. I have since reinstalled outlook (office 97) and, while it works, it no longer can find emails as I type them into "To" and automatically finish them. My guess is that there is a file where this data is stored that is corrupt and, even though I reinstalled the program, this was not overwritten. (This would be how one can update and not lose one's existing addresses.)
