Using OE 6 on an Windows XP SP3 system. It will send emails without an
attachment, but will not send an email with an attachment - it just sits

I can't think of anything I installed/changed/downloaded that could have

Any ideas for resolution?

This just started two days ago. Emails with no attachments will send and go into the sent box. Emails with attachments are left in the out folder and it comes back and says Warnings when it sends them. It does send them but it does not move them to the sent folder and if I don't manually move them it will send them over and over. I have Norton security.

For no apparent reason my installation of Outlook Express has stopped saving
emails Sent in the Sent folder. Is there anything simple I should look for.
I don't recall changing in settings and I do have it check in Tools,
Options, Send to save a copy of emails sent in the Send Folder.
Help would be appreciated. I have never experienced this one before.

After many years of no problems, a friend has not been able to send me email

* He is able to send email to others via OE6, and we ran a few tests to
others to verify that it wasn't something simple like a corrupted address

In my other post I mentioned I recently got a small laptop to use in another

I thought I set up my accounts OK and can receive mail OK, but can't send.
This is just part of the message I get and hope it's enough to help.
"Server response 554 5.7.1 Error. The message could not be sent because your
e-mail program needs to identify itself to the sending mail server."
I just got a small laptop to use in another part of the house. Sometimes
after downloading mail on it there are certain messages that I would have
liked to have on my main computer. Is there a way of doing that? I suppose I
could forward it to myself but is there another way?
Have a fairly new install of XP Pro SP3. As of today I've found that
with Outlook Express, I suddenly can't compose new messages in my main
identity. I can read and reply to messages, but if I try to compose OE
crashes. This doesn't happen with any of the other identities. Don't
think I've ever encountered this before.
Anyone know how to fix this?
Thanks
Hi,
It is obvious that your dbx file has corrupted and needs to be fixed. Here are some utilities you may need to repair your dbx file.Below is a list of them:

Most of them provide a free demo so you can try first.
