Hi, I use a batch like @echo off start engine.exe /I1 exit and schedule the batch. When executed manually the batch is executed, cmd.exe closes down. When the batch is executed by the 2008 scheduler the cmd.exe is never closing down. I have a custom built Windows 2003 Small Business Server. This in the only DC and it runs Exchange 2k3 and acts as a file/print server. The motherboard has a few capacitors that are blown. Does any one know how to remove the configuration (IP address, netmask, default gateway, etc) for a network adapter that has been removed from a Windows server /after/ the physical NIC has been removed? I ran in to this recently after a p2v conversion when I went to re-configure the IP settings on the virtual adapter. In doing so, I got a pop-up saying that the same IP address (etc)

I have a windows 2003 server R2, I had a shared folder "Database" and under which lot of *.dbf files. All of a sudden the folder & files have one missing. I have checked the Recylce Bin it is not there... Server 2008 R2 64 bit. I want to open Outlook automatically when RDP clients connect. I have checked "Allow any program to run on clients startup" (?) in remoteprograms.msc on the server and check the "Start the following program on connection:" and listed Outlook in the Program path. Hello. I've set up network folder INBOX with read and write only(create new) permissions. I need users to be able to save only new files but not modify or delete. Now users can not save word files using save as from word/excel. The copy/paste process works but office "save as" doesn't. Can it be done?

I am having problems figuring this out. If a user enters the wrong password 3 times, they are locked out and displays a message. If they enter the correct password the next time, it allows them to log on to the computer, but their account is locked out and have no access to the network. Why does it allow them to do this? I have done research but I cant find how to make either xcopy or robocopy, copy files with creation dates that are dynamic. I have a folder that contains over a million pdfs. At the moment, it backs up the entire folder, overwriting the existing pdfs, but as you can imagine, this takes a long time and there is a chance that what WAS a good pdf, with a bad copy. (but vice versa).
