Check the property of your TCP/IP, if there are there unused protocols such
as "Client for Netware" or Mac uninstall them. Even if they are not checked
in the TCP/IP property still they can create login time outs.

I am curious, what was the problem that you found an hour after posting
this issue? I am trying to log on to a remote workstation in another
city and am getting the same error. Is the policy in place due to the
user or device being logged onto?
I am trying to do a simple application test and do not want to actually
log into the server unless necessary.

Hi,
The call to WlanSetInterface with op-code to disable AutoConfig is
failing with error code ACCESS DENIED. Is this because of some kind of
Domain Policy enforced by the Win7 server?
I would appreciate any input on this.
Thanks,

Is there a way I can configure Windows (in general, or specifically for
Windows Server 2003 or later) so that if a program produces an access
violation, that the AV will not be shown, i.e. the program just ends without

the familiar "program name has stopped working...". I do this by setting a

Yeah, I believe it's the "system state" backup that's looking for this file. I have the same problem. Hyper-V was installed but it's not anymore. I realize I can just ignore it but I hate having errors because if there is a real error I won't know unless I look at the logs.
This is what I hate about nanny software.

Hi list,
We had an incident yesterday where both of our domain controllers were
rebooted at the same time, when the domain controllers came back online
both had set their firewall into public mode. So we were unable to ping

Hi all,
If any aplications can support windows 2008 x64 bit, can you safely say that
applications can support Windows 2008 R2 x64 bit too?
Windows 2008 R2 just add some additional features than windows 2008, right?
Thank you.
The organization I work for has Server 2003 three domain controllers,
one for each location. The main location's DC holds all the key
roles, so I'm under the understanding that backing up the system state
of this server is going to capture all the Active Directory objects.
What I'm wondering, at this point, is if there's any reason to backup
the system states of the remote DCs. The

Hello Marcos,
The article you posted applies to a VISTA machine used for backup, NOT the
2008 server itself.
The builtin backup from 2008
Dusko has a good idea about the cause.
Be careful, though, about installing it on a W7 computer. 2003 is XP
based. If you install XP on a computer with W7, you will lose access to
the W7 partition.
Do some research first for techniques on how to install an XP based OS
after W7. Normally, one installs the older OS and then the new one.
