Hello
I am running the mdse version of SQL for our main business
application. we are a small business with 15 users, and because of
cost and expertise we have always remained on a workgroup. We run the
SQL server on a windows 7 PC. We have had no major issue with this in
3 years.
I am now getting connection limits on that PC being met, so users do
not have access to the database/application.
I have been trialling the SBS 2011 essentials O/S, where the
connection limit is met, but fundamentally I am concerned that this
adds a great deal of complexity to my simple workgroup, by enforcing
a
domain architecture, and for the first time a single point of failure
that is expensive to mitigate.
So, getting to the point, does anyone know of a reasonably priced O/S
that will allow for 20 to 30 user connections, that won't enforce a
major over haul of my network?
