i'm going to disable all exchange services, beacause they don't need it anymore. users says that everyng is very slow. The server is an ml350 with 6 gb ram. The server is used only as file server,dc and for a management software.
I checked for cpu, hdd, lan and ram usage, and only the last one seems to be a problem, beacause exchange need a lot of memory.

I faced the same problem, I studied it for a long time and how to use
all these commands, and then I simply bought Long Path Tool at the address LongPathTool DOT com and
cleaned all unnecessary files.

Hello, Does anyone know if I can use clickfree disks on a windows 2008
server for backup?
I had a blue screen event on my SBS 2003 R2 server. When the server
reboots it is highly unstable and a lot of services won't start (e.g.
ISA, Exchange, SQL).
I have full C partition (OS location), system state, Exchange MDBDATA
and SQL backup conducted by NTBackup for the days before the blue
screen.
The C partition is on a RAID5 volume (CVOL) which has a SMART error
and bad stripes.
Even i was encountered with the same opearting system not founf, to check my servers is completely down with dhcp and DC(Secondary DC) with users started to complain..
i had only little time left , initiall upon checking with my hardware test hard disk was fine and everything else was fine,
i just changed my mind from re formatting or reinstalling the os,
i just tok my windows cd

I'd like to use the Print Management features on the Winsows 2003 R2 server, but my AD version needs to be updated. I understand that I can run ADprep to get it to 2003 native.
Is running this adprep on the SBS 2003 server to make it 2003 native level supported? ie. will it cause any problems with the SBS

Getting useful reports out of a linux server is pretty simple. Dig
around in /var/log to find the right one, give it a sprinkling of

I can't figure out how to do similar on SBS2008. I can see great

I have a Windows 2008 small business server 64 bit edition which comes
bundled with exchange server 2007 64 bit. Everything is working fine as far

Hello,
I am trying to get Sharepoint Services 3.0, installed on SBS 2003,
to send email alerts to users (and groups) when a page or section is
updated or changed.
The email server is MS Exchange running on the same box as the WSS.
This is a more or less standard install of SBS with Exchange, etc.
I was getting an error when I added a new user or group to the Lists

Backups are failing on our SBS2003. We use Backup Exec 11d backing up

about 18 months and they started failing about four weeks ago. First
we found corruption on the NAS drive, successfully backed up via
NTBackup to the local drive until we could fix it, created a new drive

Make sure you temporarily have the source and destination server on the same subnet of 255.255.255.0
You cannot use any other subnet than this....
I had a 255.255.0.0 subnet and had to change mine to get through this...

hi,
If EXMERGE utility does not work then you are suggested to use a third-party Exchange Server Recovery (http://www.stellarexchangeserverrecovery.com/) tool. This Exchange Recovery software retrieves data from a corrupted Exchange database by running advanced scanning algorithm.

I've recently been asked to take-on support of an old SBS 2003

click on Next it disappears - nothing in any log I can find.
c) DHCP wasnt included when the config was built, so still runs on a

We are in the beginning stages of making some major changes/upgrades.

I'm considering putting a new SBS in a VM. I have too many questions,
really.
What do you run as a host OS? MS doesn't license SBS for both host and

the particular VM, so must the host be a server OS?
Do you realy need to buy VM Ware or is VPC good enough?
